The Pros and Cons of Colonialism

Pros

- Expansion of land for the country that claimed it

- Expansion of that country's rule and religion

- Resources and new territories are gained/controlled  

Cons

- Needs law enforcement in the new colony to keep the country/city going

- Unrest for the colonies' people due to taxation and other problems such as their resources getting taken all the time

- Laws that seem or are unfair to that colonized country/city

Conclusion

I think that colonialism is both good and bad, because if there was no colonialism period our world today could be/look very different, and the bad side is that the colonized country/city are usually forced to do most  of the things.
